Pad-it Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (the Terms) govern your use of the Pad-it Android application (Pad-it or the App). Please read them before using the App.

Last updated: 9 September 2026

1. Provider and contact

Pad-it is provided by:

Asad Khalid
Sole proprietor trading as The Artisan Protocol
Carl-Fried-Gauß-Str. 6
28357 Bremen
Germany

Email: info@theartisanprotocol.de

2. Acceptance and eligibility

By installing or using Pad-it, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement. If you are a minor, you may use Pad-it only with the permission and supervision required under the law that applies to you.

3. What Pad-it does

Pad-it helps you collect and organize padel match information. Depending on the features and permissions you enable, the App can:

  • receive match text that you share to Pad-it through Android's share function;
  • identify supported Playtomic match messages from notification sources that you select;
  • parse match details such as the date, time, duration, location, heading, participants, skill levels and match link;
  • apply your filter groups and display matches as passed, failed or past;
  • notify you about newly matching cards or player-count changes that Pad-it detects;
  • archive or permanently delete match cards; and
  • optionally synchronize match cards, filter groups and related state with a file in your Google Drive.

Pad-it is an organizational and notification tool. It does not create or administer padel matches, reserve courts, take payments, guarantee places in a match or act on behalf of a venue or booking platform.

4. Independent app and third-party services

Pad-it is an independent application. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Playtomic, WhatsApp, Google, any padel venue or any match organizer. Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Links in match cards open third-party services. Your use of Playtomic, WhatsApp, Google Drive and other third-party products is governed by their own terms and policies. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, account decisions or transactions.

You are responsible for checking the authoritative match page before relying on a card. A Pad-it alert or card does not confirm that a match, court, participant or available place still exists.

5. Permissions and optional features

Some functions require Android permissions or special access:

  • Notification access: Android notification-listener access is technically broad. Pad-it uses it to process supported match notifications from sources selected in the App. Enable it only on a device and account you are authorized to use.
  • Notifications, alarms, sound, vibration and overlay/full-screen access: these may be used to draw your attention to a matching card. Device settings can restrict or delay them.
  • Google Drive authorization: Drive sync is optional. Pad-it requests limited access to files that it creates or that you authorize for the App, together with basic account identification needed to show the connected account.

You can revoke permissions in Android settings and disconnect Google Drive in Pad-it. Revoking access may disable the related feature.

6. Your responsibilities

You agree to use Pad-it lawfully and only for its intended purpose. In particular, you must not:

  • use the App to stalk, harass, profile or monitor another person unlawfully;
  • collect, disclose or misuse player names, skill levels, messages or other third-party information without an appropriate legal basis;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, devices, matches or services;
  • interfere with the App, bypass security measures, distribute malware or use the App for automated abuse; or
  • infringe intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality or other rights.

Match messages can contain information about other players. You are responsible for handling that information appropriately and for deciding whether it is lawful to store or synchronize it.

7. Accuracy, parsing and alerts

Pad-it derives structured information from text produced by third parties. Message formats, translations, dates, time zones, names and skill levels may be incomplete, ambiguous or incorrectly parsed. Third-party format changes can cause a match to be missed or classified incorrectly.

Alerts are best-effort only. Android background limits, battery optimization, network conditions, disabled permissions, delayed notifications or changes to third-party apps can prevent or delay detection and alerts. Do not rely on Pad-it for emergencies, safety-critical purposes, contractual deadlines or guaranteed participation in a match.

8. Google Drive synchronization and restore

If you connect Google Drive, Pad-it creates or locates a visible Pad-it folder and stores synchronization data in pad-it-sync.json. The synchronized data can include match messages and parsed details, filter groups, archive and player-alert state, stable identifiers and deletion records.

Sync is designed to merge match records between devices. When you explicitly restore a cloud save, cloud filter groups replace the local filter configuration while match records are merged. Conflicts, interrupted uploads, account changes and concurrent edits can still cause unexpected results. Keep any information you cannot afford to lose in another appropriate backup.

Disconnecting Drive or uninstalling Pad-it does not automatically delete the Pad-it folder or its file from your Google Drive. You can delete them in Google Drive. Deleting or moving the cloud file may cause Pad-it to create a replacement during a later sync.

9. Deletion and retention

You can archive or permanently delete cards in the App. A deletion marker may remain in synchronized data so that a deleted card does not return from another device. Clearing the App's storage or uninstalling it removes data from that installation, subject to Android backup and restore behavior, but does not automatically remove a Drive copy.

See the Pad-it Privacy Policy for more information.

10. Licence

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use Pad-it for lawful, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Except where applicable law expressly permits it, you may not copy, sell, sublicense, redistribute, modify, reverse engineer or create derivative works from Pad-it. Rights in third-party and open-source components remain subject to their respective licences.

11. Intellectual property

Pad-it, its original software, design, branding and documentation are owned by The Artisan Protocol or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.

You retain rights you already hold in content you provide to the App. You grant us only the rights technically necessary to operate features you request. Pad-it does not claim ownership of match messages or third-party content.

12. Availability, updates and changes

We may maintain, update, modify, suspend or discontinue features to improve the App, address security or legal requirements, or respond to changes in Android and third-party services. An update may be required for continued use. We do not promise that the App or every integration will always be available.

13. Warranty and consumer rights

Your mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected. Subject to those rights, Pad-it is provided without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device or third-party message format, or suitable for a particular purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and where we have expressly given a guarantee.

For ordinary negligence, we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual duty whose performance is necessary for the proper operation of the agreement and on which you may normally rely. In that case, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of agreement.

The limitations above also apply to our legal representatives and agents. They do not apply where applicable law requires broader liability.

15. Ending use

You may stop using Pad-it at any time by revoking its permissions, disconnecting Drive and uninstalling it. If you want cloud data removed, delete the Pad-it folder or synchronization file from Google Drive separately.

We may restrict access to a feature where reasonably necessary to prevent unlawful use, protect security, comply with law or protect the rights of others.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections available under the law of the country in which you habitually reside.

The statutory rules on jurisdiction apply. If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Bremen, Germany, to the extent legally permitted.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the App, law or relevant third-party services change. The date at the top identifies the current version. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide appropriate notice where required. Continued use after an effective update is subject to the updated Terms, without limiting rights that require your express consent.
